CFTFU-X16 Wireless Firing Unit / Sequencer

Placeholder Picture

Our CATFire CFTFU-X16 is a digital wireless firing unit like no other.  Rugged.  Powerful.  Feature rich.  Flexible.

Operating as a wireless firing unit for manual, scripted firing & pyromusicals but also a wire controlled Stepper/Sequencer unit where wireless is not needed or desired.

As well as pyrotechnic firing this unit can control lighting, relays and motors and other devices as may be needed too.

Extremely rugged firing electronics using the latest intelligent self protecting firing circuitry, this best in class unit can operate from 12 to 24 volts and up to an incredible 80 amperes of firing current across the unit.

Advanced spread sprectrum channel hopping wireless has 70 channels, with smart noise avoidance.
Fully encrypted communications.
800 metres line of sight range / 1 mile span.

Flexible power options include internal 9 volt batteries to provide 18 volts of firing potential.
Up to three pairs can be installed providing additional run hours or increased firing current as may be needed.
External power options can be from 12 to 24 volts and up to 80 amperes with unlimited runtime.

An in-built load test to check the true capability of your batteries (or external power) ensures reliability, coupled with our adaptive firing system when needed will ensure your display delights your audiences!

Resistance continuity testing checks the connected igniters and ensures proper connections are made and that the right amount of firing current can be delivered.

Fully weatherproof to IP66 - it doesn't mind the rain (though you might).  Fully tested for all seasons.

Tough UV stable enclosure with integrated mounting feet.

Rugged spring binding posts for easy and secure wire connection.

Internally the unit is an open frame design allowing user inspection, maintenance & repair: securing your investment for the long term.

Radio controlled
Fully controlled, monitored and maintained from our CFWFS-1 Windows firing studio software.
Full pyromusical, scripted, semi-auto and manual firing supported.
Design your shows visually using our Firing Studio software (CFWFS-1 App).
Test and Fire using the same App - fully integrated functions.
Supports Finale 3D as well as our own CSV text file format for simpler scripting needs.
Up to 256 firing units for a total of 4096 cues big enough for the largest of shows!
Effortlessly duplicate positions by simply setting identical addresses between units.
Wire controlled
Smaller show?  No need for wireless?  Be controlled by other firing systems or trigger signals?
Control the CFTFU-X16 using the trigger input for stepper/sequencer operation.
Fully programmable sequences can be actioned on each trigger signal or timed, mix and match as needed.
Program your unit for a specific pattern or sequence of patterns of firing on each trigger input, connect to another firing unit for extra control over actions taken.
When radio controlled the trigger can also be used as a wired disarm for the unit too.

Self tests
Full self testing on power on.
Checks all cues are off, there is no arming power present.
Wireless is operational.
All control signals are in safe conditions.
All operating state and settings are valid.
Unit continuously monitors the cue terminals to ensure no unexpected energy build up occurs - keeps you safe at all times.
Cue and continuity testing
Full resistance based continuity checks both presence and firing current available.
Check against scripts usnig the CFWFS-1 firing studio.
Cue tests check cue electronics operate correctly (on & off) even with nothing connected to them - an easy way to check for correct unit operation as part of your maintenance schedule.
Indicators and displays
Bright safety indicator and heartbeat bleeper keep you informed of unit state.
Unit can operate in discreet mode too where the equipment should neither be seen nor heard.
Bright back lit easy to read display to convey status and settings.
Tactile control buttons.
Battery load testing
Truly unique in-built battery load test checks the true capability of your batteries.
Detects the firing current available, adaptive firing can then be used when necessary to increase firing assuredness.
Firmware
Feature enhancements via firmware updates from CFWFS-1 App, available from the support section.
Event logging
Unit records all events and operating conditions to a permanent log, retrievable from the CFWFS-1 firing studio.
Thousands of log messages can be recorded.  Unlimited numbers when storing them with the CFWFS-1 firing studio software.
